CNN has named the 7th Congressional District race as 1 of 100 races to watch this fall, according to the campaign of Democrat Ed Potosnak, who’s challenging U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance (R-Lebanon).
The list includes only 18 incumbent Republicans.
“CNN is confirming what we have long known,” Potosnak said in a statement. “The 7th District is the most competitive, swing district in New Jersey. Our voters are smart, and are independent thinkers not tethered to either political party. …I am pleased that CNN recognized the 7th district of New Jersey as one to watch this fall. Voters in our district are clearly rejecting career politicians in favor of hard working Americans like me who will bring real world experience to Congress.”
