The criticism peppering Gov. Chris Christie in the aftermath of yesterday’s announcement proves how strong he is, argues Assembly Minority Conference Leader Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield).
The governor’s opponents are getting their slaps in now – while they can, Bramnick told PolitickerNJ.com.
“What’s happened is any type of opening creates an onslaught,” said the assemblyman. “People think maybe he made a mistake. The attacks just show how few openings there have been in the past. If he wasn’t such a successful leader, people wouldn’t be pouncing on it. The way I see it, it’s a minor jab landed in the first round – and I ain’t betting against the governor to score a knockout.”
