State Sen. Paul Sarlo showed his teeth to a casino representative at the Dems gaming summit on Friday. The Bergen County senator seemed a bit testy as he pressed the rep for answers; over the weekend he called PolitickerNJ with a partial explanation.
Sarlo said only half of his furor was due to his passion for the Meadowlands. The other half: terrible stomach pains that persisted from Thursday until Saturday morning. That’s when a doctor told Sarlo he would need an emergency appendectomy. Sarlo’s appendix was removed and he is healing up. Unfortunately, there was nothing the doctor could do about the Meadowlands.
