If Freeholder bid successful, Lepore vows mayoral run is done

Passaic County Freeholder and Woodland Park Mayor Pat Lepore said Monday that if he wins his bid for a third term on the Freeholder board, he will not run for mayor when his term is up next year.

“Over the last seven years I’ve been privileged to serve the residents of Woodland Park as their Mayor – working with our fine Borough Council, residents, and public servants to move our community forward in a positive direction,” Lepore said in a statement. “However, if I am honored to be re-elected to a third term on the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders, I will not be seeking reelection as Mayor next year in Woodland Park.”

A Democrat, Lepore is running for re-election with Freeholder Terry Duffy against Republican challengers Walt Garner and Tomas Gomez.
