Letterman Blackmailer Released From Prison

Where does the time go? Robert “Joe” Halderman, the Emmy-nominated CBS producer who made headlines trying to extort David Letterman has been released after serving his sentence of four months in prison.

“He survived this, and he’s glad to be getting off the island,” said Halderman’s lawyer, Gerald Shargel, seemingly making a curious, not-so-subtle reference to the popular CBS reality show. The AP reports that Shargel then mentioned his client is looking for work.

He had a job in prison, though! If you haven’t yet had the chance to watch The Times‘ video interview with Joe Halderman, prison librarian, now is the time. Letterman Blackmailer Released From Prison
