Politico: Democrats tied in generic

A recently released poll says the Democrats fortunes this November may not be as bad as first thought.

Interesting results for the Northeast states where 43% of respondents believe the Republicans will control the House versus 37% who believe the Dems will remain in control. 20 % remain undecided.

On the Senate side, 49% believe the GOP will control the upper chamber versus just 34% who believe the Dems will retain control.  18% are undecided.

In the generic poll, 43% of those polled in the Northeast said they would vote Democrat versus 38% who said they would vote Republican.  19% are undecided.

Editors Note: An earlier version of this post had the numbers for the generic poll characterized incorrectly.
