When we checked in with Reddit co-founder and angel investor Alexis Ohanian a few weeks ago about his recent relocation to New York, he told us he was excited about finding new local start-ups to fund and about organizing with other angels to recruit engineering talent from colleges. Today comes word from TechCrunch that the 27-year-old will soon start working for Y Combinator, the West Coast-based start-up incubator that helped him and partner Steve Huffman launch Reddit back in 2005. Reddit was acquired by Conde Nast in 2007; Mr. Ohanian left the company last year.
According to TechCrunch, his new gig will involve meeting with Y Combinator applicants based on the East Coast, which presumably includes Boston, where YC used to have an office.
