Arthus Sulzberger Jr. and New York Times Co. CEO Janet Robinson hosted a dinner party in Milan during Fashion Week in honor of Sally Singer, their newest editor. Earlier this month, Mr. Sulzberger and Ms. Robinson held a similar party for Ms. Singer in New York at the Spotted Pig. That night Ms. Singer wore a nice magenta dress.
The Times‘ website has been following these parties on The Moment, T‘s blog. Ms. Singer herself has been blogging there, too. Her posts have been about New York Fashion Week and, more recently, Milan. Today she wrote about the consequences of the shows in Milan this year. “We will probably come away from Milan with a stripy ensemble, something in a flag color, a longer skirt and a sturdy flat,” she wrote. “We won’t be as sparkly as we once might have been, but bright and shiny nonetheless — smiling, even, which is always attractive and stylish.”
