Eric Schneiderman has chipped in another $300,000 of his own money in the waning days of the attorney general’s primary. That brings the total amount he has contributed from his own pocket close to $900,000.
Schneiderman was an attorney at the law firm of Kirkpatrick and Lockhart before being elected to the state Senate. His father, Irwin, is a major donor to Democratic and charitable causes.
His campaign says the money will go to television and mail. As of the last filing, Schneiderman had $1.5 million less on hand than Kathleen Rice for the final week of the race.
