Tea Party Architecture

Last week, the Real Estate Desk wrote about John Beckman’s attention-grabbing architecture 2.0 — which is to say self-promotional and confrontational. The desk received an email from a reader with his own theory:

There is another perspective on Beckman’s work: Is it actually great, compelling, inspiring design? Or is it the architectural equivalent of the Tea Party?

And here we thought Beckman was criticizing the conservative nature of architects.
