Tim Gunn planted an item with Page Six in June about Anna Wintour being carried down a flight of stairs by bodyguards because she didn’t want to take the elevator. He was promoting his book.
Mr. Gunn — still promoting the book, Gunn’s Golden Rules — told the Daily News‘ Jim Farber that he is actually scared of Ms. Wintour. “I was certainly afraid of her. When her office called me, I thought I’d have to go into the witness protection program,” Mr. Gunn said. But it seems Mr. Gunn has decided that the only way to handle his fear is to own it and provoke Ms. Wintour instead.
“It’s insane that people don’t call her out on the things she does,” he said. “Is it fear?”
