As campaigns statewide gear up for their final four-week push, the state Fraternal Order of Police has released its endorsements.

As campaigns statewide gear up for their final four-week push, the state Fraternal Order of Police has released its endorsements.

The NJFOP, which represents about 14,000 active and retired law enforcement officers, endorsed candidates in all but two races and supports both Republicans and Democrats in the 17 races playing out this year.  The FOP endorsed neither candidate in the 5th District Congressional race where Republican incumbent Scott Garrett is taking on Democratic challenger Tod Theise.   No candidate was chosen in the 10th District, where Democrat Donald Payne is up against Independent Robert Louis Toussaint and Republican Michael J. Alonso.

In the 13 races for the U.S. House of Representatives, the NJFOP endorsed:
