The Working Families Party just sent around this video of Pete Seeger strumming his banjo on (what is presumably) his back porch of his Hudson Valley home and asking New Yorkers to vote on the Working Families Party line.
“I hope you will join me in voting Working Families Party the whole line,” he says. “Are you worried about gas drillers poisoning our water supply? Would you like to show those Tea Party folks that this land is our land, too? And we are not going to give it up easily.”
This is Seeger’s second foray into local politics this year. He was a big supporter of Richard Brodsky’s in the AG primary and is of course a long-time activist in Hudson River clean-up efforts.
