Scrabb.ly is a massively entertaining, multiplayer crossword game that you can join anytime, online.
The rules couldn’t be simpler (or much more familiar): Take one of your tiles, look for an opening, make a new word and use your remaining tiles to add to or branch away from that word. Amazingly, it took three software engineers and one designer just 48 hours to make the game—their submission to something called the Node.js Knockout competition. (Entries were judged according to their completeness, polish, functionality and utility; Scrabb.ly came in third and won the popular vote.)
But we played it for an eternity before noticing the time gone by.
