Sipprelle has $367K COH compared to $1.2 million for Holt

Twelfth Congressional District Republican challenger Scott Sipprelle has $366,929 cash on hand, according to campaign strategist Chris Russell, who said Sipprelle will have no problem fully funding a winning plan against U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (D-Hopewell Twp.).

Sipprelle raised $587,688.01 this quarter, and of that, $457,897.01 came from the candidate himself. To date, Sipprelle has raised $1,417,282.28, according to Russell, $1 million of which comes out of the Wall Street venture capitalist’s own pockets.

“We have the resources necessary to execute our plan down the stretch and momentum is clearly on our side,” said Russell. “Scott Sipprelle has demonstrated he is a different kind of candidate. Scott’s comprehensive plan for economic renewal and political reform is winning over Democrats, Republicans and Independents across the 12th Congressional District who are tired of hyperpartisanship and business as usual in Washington.”

Holt campaign spokesman Chris Donnelly said the congressman raised approximately this $850,000 quarter and has approximately $1.2 million cash on hand.

“While Mr. Sipprelle has had trouble raising money from people not named Sipprelle, Representative Holt maintains one of the largest donor bases of any representative in the country, receiving contributions from thousands of individuals,” Donnelly said.
