Straten gets Guiliani’s nod

Republican Roland Straten, congressional candidate against U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-Paterson) in the 8th District, today got the backing of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Straten camp is calling it a “shot in the arm” in the final week before Election Day.

“We’re thrilled with the endorsement from America’s Mayor, especially at this pivotal time in the race,” said campaign manager Bobbi Bennett in a release.

“Straten is just the kind of guy we need to send to Washington, at a time when out-of-control spending has saddled future generations with enormous debt.” Giuliani added. Straten gets Guiliani’s nod
