Carr posted about the alleged ouster on his Twitter page.

“Jann Wenner, who uses and discards editors like paper plates, just dumped Brad Wieners at Men’s Journal according to an email just got,” Carr wrote.

As of this writing, Wieners had not responded to a request for comment from The Observer. Phone calls to the Men’s Journal offices were answered by an prerecorded message that advised trying again during regular business hours. Wenner Media LLC publishes Men’s Journal, Rolling Stone, and US Weekly.

UPDATE (5:03 a.m. 11/13/10): Wieners confirmed the news in an email to The Observer.

“I will remain grateful for the opportunity … I hope they have a plan for the magazine’s continued success bc it’s doing as well or better than it ever has,” Wieners wrote.
