Over at Gatecrasher this morning, a source who “knows his model trains” claims to have spotted David Letterman at the Lionel Train popup store in midtown last week, and the late-night host reportedly spent more than $3,500 there.
The piece even features a nice little zinger at the end: “Letterman’s love affair with magic carpets made of steel has its limits, though: He transported his purchases via limo.”
Mr. Letterman’s seven-year-old son is mentioned nowhere in the item, but isn’t it more enjoyable that way?
