Margolin to leave Star Ledger

Star ledger statehouse reporter Josh Margolin has announced he will leave the paper as of Dec. 6.  The Pulitzer Prize winning reporter has accepted a position as a senior reporter with the New York Post.

“This has nothing to do with the buyouts or the financial situation at the newspaper,” Margolin said. “I am committed to staying in the business and I was committed to staying at the  Ledger until they took me out feet first.  But I was fortunate enough to be offered a wonderful opportunity at a newspaper in New York.  I’m from New York originally and at 40 years old it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.”

Margolin will be covering crime, law enforcement and politics for the Post.
