Paranoid Programmers Build Robo-Guards Dogs

Even when Robert Oschler is away from home, he can still keep his eyes open for trouble.

The New York Times reports on Oschler, a computer programmer, who has built a robot guard dog that he can control with his brain waves. What the robot sees, Oschler sees.

“As creepy as it sounds, you could even talk to the guy and say, ‘Get out of there. There’s nothing valuable. I’m calling the police,’ ” Oschler told The NYT.

Even more amazing, this sci-fi home defense was made from the Rovio, a $170 children’s toy.
