Paradigm shift alert! Richard Branson has upped the iPad app ante with a video cover for the debut issue of Virgin Digital Publishing’s Project magazine. It launches tomorrow, reports Mediabistro, but a preview of the Jeff Bridges cover video went live today.
Project will be run by veteran magazine editor Anthony Noguera and Branson’s daughter Holly, which–nepotism be damned–is a smart move. Holly’s proximity to Prince William and Kate Middleton will probably be a pocket ace for the upstart.
Branson said that Project will be updated throughout the month with blogs, reader polls and breaking news, so that it is a “daily destination.”
Not to worry, Ruper Murdocht, your iPad “project” will still be The Daily destination. And for all your secrecy, your cover’s probably in 3D.
