An appellate division today affirmed the original court decision in the case of King v. Lopez/Raymaker v. Lopez, dismissing on a technicality James King’s and Norrice Raymaker’s attempt to overturn the election of Jersey City Councilwoman Nidia Lopez.

Alerted to Lopez’s out-of-state address and Florida residency, the complaintants failed to file their petition within the required 30 days to unseat the councilwoman, court records say.
