Breaking: U.S. population up 9.7%

The U.S. Census Bureau has just announced the new population of the United States is 308,745,538.  That’s a 9.7 percent growth in the last decade.

That growth rate is the lowest since 1940, when the population increased by 7.3 percent and is down more than 25 percent over the 2000 census, when the population grew by 13.2 percent.

The population growth in the Northeast was 3.2%. Breaking: U.S. population up 9.7%
