Multiple sources confirm that the storied fifth- and sixth-floor duplex has found a mystery buyer. One source said it was a direct deal.

The Limited Brands tycoon, who owns Victoria Secret amongst numerous other assets, quietly listed the apartment in January 2009. Mr. Wexner and his wife rarely lived there, but the couple has done extensive work on the five-bedroom spread since purchasing it for $9 million in 1997.

Theater king Hal Prince’s place on the 13th and 14th floors recently underwent its own $10 million reduction, to $25 million. Barbara Fox of Fox Residential Group, who has the Prince listing, politely declined to comment on the Wexners’ apartment.
