Christie slips under 50% in Quinnipiac Poll

Gov. Chris Christie has a 46 – 44% job approval rating and 47 – 48% rating on governing style, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.
 Christie’s latest job approval rating compares to Quinnipiac’s 51 – 38% findings on November 9.
The survey found that Christie’s approval is 74 – 21% among Republicans and 48 – 41% among independent voters, while Democrats disapprove 65 – 22 percent.
“The governor’s attempt to change a ‘historically liberal State Supreme Court’ is a bad idea,” voters say 45 – 39%” according to the poll. “Support for the governor is 71 – 19% among Republicans as independent voters split 43 – 41%. Democrats oppose the move 71 – 13%.
