I hung on. That’s what you can say about today’s outing. I waffled a little, and it was a slow day, but thanks to a strong finish I’m up 19 points today and can log a really solid week.
Give me some credit for toughness. I stuck it out despite a November jobs report that was anything but encouraging. A 9.8 percent rate of unemployment is bad, and the addition of a pitiful 39,000 jobs is quite discouraging. Frankly, it’s a miracle I was able to gain any ground at all.
Fortunately, the other numbers to come out today were less awful. The factory orders numbers for September and October could’ve been a lot worse, and the Institute for Supply Management’s November services index actually climbed.
But for now I’m just thankful for the 2.6 percent I added this week. Let’s hope I can keep the momentum going on Monday.
Have a good weekend,
