Well it’s time for that annual Oscar season horse race, Mr. Firth. And right out of the gate, The King’s Speech has made an impressive showing with seven Golden Globe nominations.
Of course, as with horse races, nothing in awards season is certain. Winners can come up from behind (Marisa Tomei) and prize stallions can fall and injure themselves so badly that they need to be taken outside and shot (James Cameron, last year).
We haven’t seen the movie yet, but are you playing someone who’s powerful but slightly bumbling? Oh, you should be fine.
