Steve Carell, it looks like you’ll be leaving The Office before the end of this season. Congratulations. Sorry, The Office, but it’s true. Leaving you is a good thing.
And The Office you’ll be doing just fine without Steve Carell. You’ve been building up all these ancillary characters for years ahead of this eventuality. We’re more intimately familiar with the entire staff, much moreso than we are with the staff of our own, real office.
Steve Carell: cherish your upcoming free time. Use it wisely. Don’t do any more movies that end in “Allmighty,” and maybe come back to The Daily Show.
