U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance (R-7th) has been named to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
The powerful committee has jurisdiction that includes national energy and environmental policy, health and health facilities, interstate and foreign commerce, consumer affairs and consumer protection, and travel and tourism. U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone Jr. (D-6th) also sits on the committee.
“I am honored to have been selected by my colleagues to join the House Energy and Commerce Committee,” Lance said. “This appointment will allow me to better represent the tens of thousands of New Jerseyeans who work in the energy, health, telecommunications and life sciences industries.
