Macy’s Inc. is looking to create 725 new web positions as part of a planned expansion at the online counterparts of both Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s.
“This is our two-year hiring plan based on our projections for continued significant growth in the e-commerce business,” company spokesperson Jim Sluzewski in an email. “As sales grow, so does the organization that supports that business.”
Mr. Sluzewksi declined to comment on any new plans for the websites at this time. Out of the 725 new jobs, 375 will be located in Manhattan, with the others divided between San Francisco and Atlanta.
