Occupying the seldom sleepy 36th District, Assemblyman Gary Schaer (D-Passaic) raised the most fourth quarter dollars in 2010 among legislators in both chambers, or $160,517, leaving Schaer with $240,000 cash on hand, according to the state Election Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC).
Other big money lower house legislators include Assemblyman Lou Greenwald (D-Voorhees), powerful chairman of the Assembly Budget Committee. Greenwald raised $63,475 in the fourth quarter, leaving him with a closing balance of $281,857.
Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula (D-Franklin Twp.) also projected fourth quarter power with $117,712 raised, leaving him now with $242,399 cash on hand.
