Jets fans held a big rally in Times Square yesterday to cheer on the team as they get ready to play Pittsburgh, and a big part of the cheering (not the biggest part–that went to Superfan named Fireman Ed) fell on the shoulders of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer.
Last week on John Gambling’s radio show Bloomberg guaranteed that the Jets would go to the Super Bowl. He was a little more circumspect on the show today, but did say that if the team wins he will take his daughters to the Super Bowl next month in Dallas.
