Democrats launch redistricting website

The New Jersey Democratic State Committee Thursday launched a new website,, dedicated to tracking the state legislative redistricting  process.

March 3 is the deadline for members of the bi-partisan New Jersey Apportionment Commission to reach an agreement on a new map, based on population shifts over the past decade.

If the Commission, equally divided between Democrats and Republicans, can’t agree on a map by that date, an 11th member – Rutgers professor and former Eagleton Institute of Politics director  Alan Rosenthal –  will be appointed by the Chief Justice of the State Supreme Court. The Commission will then have one month to finalize a new map. Democrats launch redistricting website
