Mila M. Jasey (D-South Orange)

Democrat Mila M. Jasey, of South Orange, was first sworn into the New Jersey General Assembly on November 8, 2007, filling the unexpired term of Mims Hackett, Jr. Mrs. Jasey was elected to her first full term on November 6, 2007.


Born May 29, 1951, Mrs. Jasey received her Bachelor of Arts in history from Barnard College; and her Master of Science in nursing from the Lienhard School of Nursing at Pace University.


Mrs. Jasey and her husband, Neil, Esq., have three adult children: Neil, M.D., Rhena and Kyle.


Mrs. Jasey represents the 27th Legislative District, which includes the Essex County municipalities of Caldwell, Essex Falls, Fairfield, Livingston, Maplewood, North Caldwell, Orange, Roseland, South Orange, West Caldwell, West Orange and a portion of the City of Newark.
