Start bugging your local Geniuses! Apple is going to reveal the specs on the second generation iPad on March 2, Kara Swisher is reporting.
The event is bittersweet for Apple fans. Designer hero, Wall Street darling and general symbol of success Steve Jobs recently stepped down as CEO. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer six years ago and it’s conceivable that he may never return to the helm. Either way, he’s unlikely to present the new device in his signature black turtle neck and jeans.
Demo and hype duty is likely to fall to newly-appointed CEO Tim Cook. The iPad 2 is expected to be thinner and come with a built-in camera. We’re sure it will be as magical and revolutionary as every Apple product that’s been debuted in public ever.
