In the previous legislative session, Gusciora’s bill to ban cigarette smoking in bars and restaurants was signed into law by then Acting Governor Richard Codey.  Recently, Reed was instrumental in the passage of legislation to establish a needle exchange program to which he was a co-prime sponsor.  Gusciora’s bill to impose a death penalty moratorium was also signed into law.

Not one to shy away from controversy, Assemblyman Gusciora was the prime sponsor of the measure to allow for the medicinal use of marijuana.  He was also the prime sponsor of the recently enacted  bill to mandate the recycling of computers and televisions.
