It’s been a big few months for Wollf Samson, the law firm founded by former Attorney General David Samson.
Samson himself was named as chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey last year, while various members of the firm’s legal team have found their way into the administration of Gov. Chris Christie.
Now the firm is poised to take over as general counsel of the Turnpike Authority, replacing the DeCotiis firm, a major benefactor of Democratic candidates over the years. The Turnpike Authority approved the appointment this morning.
Also ready to take on the authority as a client is Gilmore and Monahan, the powerhouse law firm founded by Ocean County Republican Chairman George Gilmore.
Other firms approved by the authority’s board of commissioners this morning include Capehart Scatchard, McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter and collections specialists Schachter Portnoy.
