Of bribery, betrayal, black market kidneys…and a stripper

The Jersey Sting, the definitive account of Solomon Dwek’s take down of dozens of corrupt New Jersey politicians, is set to be released tomorrow.

The book, by Star Ledger reporter Ted Sherman and former Ledger Statehouse bureau reporter Josh Margolin tells the tale of Dwek, the FBI informant who doled out bribes while wearing a wire, leading to the arrest of several promient politicos, among them former Hoboken Mayor and rising star Peter Cammarono III and Assemblymen l. Harvey Smith, Daniel Van Pelt and Lou Manzo.

“The Jersey Sting takes you deep inside the incredible story of Solomon Dwek — with guest appearances by Jon Corzine, Chris Christie, Cory Booker, Dick Codey, Jerry Healy, George Norcross, George Gilmore, Barack Obama, and two guys who died mysteriously soon after the case came to light,” Margoliin said Monday. “The research took us on an amazing journey. We hope it’s fascinating to read.”

The pair is hosting a book launch party Tuesday and Gov. Chris Christie, who plays a starring role in the book, is planning to attend.
