“My entry into the race was a desire for the people’s voice to be heard,” said the Republican. “One party rule (Democratic party) has ruined the City of Passaic through fiscal mismanagement of Assemblyman Gary Schaer and his running mates. Absolute rule in the 36th is bankrupting not ony our district but the State of N.J. as well.
“People are ‘voting with their feet’ and moving out of state, due to the unaffordable taxes and cost of living in this area. Children raised in this area are not returning after completing their education. The GOP should stop their petty bickering and concentrate on the needs of the people in this area: Jobs, lower taxes, fiscal accountability from all layers of government, and lastly quality of life issues.”
That leaves Don Diorio of Carlstadt to run against state Sen. Paul Sarlo, (D-36), of Wood-Ridge.
