Howard Kurtz’s Twitter Mystery

When Howard Kurtz ditched The Washington Post for The Daily Beast he told the Observer he was only able to bid print farewell because he liked what Tina Brown had laid out for him. Did he mean a steady following of sixteen people?

So far each of the Washington bureau chief’s posts on his Spin Cycle blog have been tweeted out exactly sixteen times, according to the counter button.

It’s probably the result of a coding glitch… but they could be juking the stats to make Mr. Kurtz’s blog look more relevant.

Yeah yeah yeah but what’s a Monday without a conspiracy theory?
