Lewis wants to break bread with Addiego

Eighth District Democratic State Senate candidate Carl Lewis of Medford said today he wants to begin the campaign by having lunch with his Republican counterpart, state Sen. Dawn Addiego (R-8) of Evesham.

Lewis said he extended the luncheon invitation to the incumbent senator to help create the environment for a clean campaign that focuses on the issues rather than on partisan hyperbole and personal attacks.

“I look forward to meeting Sen. Addiego in an informal setting so we can get to know one another as our campaigns begin,” said Lewis. “I want to shake her hand, look her in the eye and ask her to join me in setting a tone of mutual respect that leads to the kind of campaign that voters of the Eighth District deserve.”
