‘Seems To Be a Lot of Evidence’ in Ticket-Fixing Probe, Says Bloomberg [Updated]

After the latest news about the massive ticket-fixing probe in the NYPD hit the front page of New York Post this morning, Mayor Bloomberg said the evidence seems to be overwhelming that something inappropriate has been going on.

“There seems to be a lot of evidence that there was a practice that should not have taken place,” the mayor said, during his weekly radio show this morning.

Because there is an ongoing investigation, “the police commissioner and I will not say anything that will jeopardize the investigation.”

DNAinfo has more on the unfolding scandal.

Update: “Several high-ranking members of city government” had their tickets fixed, an unnamed person familiar with the probe tells the AP.
