Weisenbeck named assignment judge in Morris/Sussex

Chief Justice Stuart Rabner Thursday announced the appointment of Superior Court Judge Thomas L. Weisenbeck as assignment judge of the Morris/Sussex Vicinage. Weisenbeck will succeed Judge B. Theodore Bozonelis, who will retire on May 1.

Weisenbeck, 65, has been a resident of Morris County since 1977. He was nominated to the bench by then-acting Gov. Richard J. Codey and took the oath of office on May 19, 2005. He has been assigned to the family division in the Morris/Sussex Vicinage since his appointment and has sat in the Morris County Courthouse.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Weisenbeck was in private practice at Wilentz, Goldman and Spitzer. In 1977 he joined the U.S. Department of Justice as a trial attorney and then became an assistant U.S. attorney in 1982.
