WEST NEW YORK – The scene outside Town Hall told the story, albeit one that is not yet conclusive.
In a stunning display of force after a relatively quiet day – minus a few fistfights – Roque partisans believed they had mustered sufficient numbers to conquer incumbent Mayor Silverio “Sal” Vega.
Chanting “Roque! Roque! Roque!” in frenzied fashion in the middle of a blocked-off 60th Street, the allies of challenger Dr. Felix Roque compelled the Vega forces to stand to one side and watch.
