Bill to cut Casino Control Commission from 5 to 3 members clears committee

TRENTON – The Senate State Government, Wagering, Tourism and Historic Preservation Committee unanimously approved on Thursday S2767 to reduce the size of the Casino Control Commission from five members to three members.

Assemblyman Vincent Polistina (R-2) of Northfield testified in support of the bill, saying it will save some $300,000. “it makes sense.”

“There is no need to have five members,” he said.

Currently, there are only three members and two vacancies.

The committee released the bill and it will go before the full state Senate.
