The Board of Public Utilities will hold a hearing June 17 into various issues affecting new generation capacity in the state.
The hearing at the board’s office in Trenton will deal with issues including whether there is a need to pursue additional generating capacity beyond the 2,000 megawatts already under contract, what barriers exist to developing new capacity, and competitiveness of the power market.
The BPU stated that all parties wishing to be heard should e-mail Andrew Dembia at Andrew.Dembia@bpu.state.nj.us by Friday June 10. If you will be working from prepared comments, please email them to Andrew Dembia, and bring at least 15 copies to the hearing.
All comments should be filed with the Board’s Secretary, New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, Two Gateway Center, Suite 801, Newark, New Jersey 07102, and should also be electronically served via email to individuals on the e-service list for this proceeding and sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
