There is a candidates forum tonight in Legislative District 25, however, challenger William Chegwidden is committed to going door-to-door in Mendham Twp., according to his campaign, so there will be no faceoff between the freeholder director and incumbent state Sen. Tony Bucco (R-25).
“Cheg wanted to spend his time doing grass-roots campaigning, rather than meeting with the party regulars who already know him and his record of initiating innovative programs to cut spending and taxes,” explained Chegwidden spokesman Alan Zakin. “This has been his strategy all along, knocking on doors instead of visiting local Republican meetings where they already know him and his conservative fiscal record.”
