Thousands of members of the Communications Workers of America – the largest union representing New Jersey public workers – will stage lunchtime pickets Wednesday across the state as the union sits down for another day of bargaining with representatives from the state, the CWA reported Tuesday.
The pickets will protest Gov. Christie’s decision not to bargain with public workers on issues of health care reform. Earlier this month, CWA filed charges at the Public Employment Relations Commission alleging that Christie’s refusal to bargain over public employee health care violates New Jersey law.
The rallies are planned from noon to 1 p.m. at several locations.
