Public worker residency bill OK’d

A bill requiring certain public officers and employees to reside in New Jersey was approved Monday by the Assembly 70-5-1.

S1730 was conditionally vetoed by the governor earlier, in part, because he wanted the composition of the exemptions review panel changed from three to five members, and he sought to have the effective date of the law changed from immediately to three months after the bill is signed.
