Doctor Felix Roque was sworn in as mayor of West New York this afternoon at a friends and family-only event along with Roque’s winning team of commissioners.
“I’m so happy,” Roque told PolitickerNJ.com. “I’m going to work with everybody.”
The new mayor, who defeated Sal Vega a week ago, will be sworn-in at a full public ceremony next week.
In the meantime, sources said both Gov. Chris Christie and U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) have reached out to Roque.
